Surprise your father

Make a gello flower






Background – transparent jello
1 l/34 fl oz/4 cups water
200 g/8 oz/1 cup sugar
40 g/1.4 oz/3 tbsp unflavored gelatin powder
1 tsp citric acid

Milk flowers
1 l/34 fl oz/4 cups milk
40g/1.4 oz/3 tbsp gelatin powder
200g/8 oz/1 cup sugar
15 g/0.5 oz/1 tbsp corn starch

Also you need regular syringes.

Directions to make transparent jello
Mix 1 cup of water with unflavored gelatin.
Boil the remaining water with sugar.
Pour water with sugar over gelatin and stir until the gelatin dissolves.
Add the citric acid.
Wait till it is not hot and pour it in a mold (better if it is transparent, because that will help you see how you go with the decoration).
Let it stands for 1 hour in the fridge.

Directions to make milk jello
Mix  1 cup of milk and gelatin powder.
Mix together the corn starch and 4 tbsp of milk.
In a pot boil the remaining milk and sugar. When it starts to boil, add the dissolved corn starch. Stir well, don’t let to boil.
Take from the heat, pour milk over gelatin, stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.
Divide milk jello in as many parts as you want colors and add some drops of food coloring to each part.




Directions to make flowers:
Fill the syringe with one of the colored milk jello and go into the transparent jello like if you were injecting someone. Move the syringe while going out to make like petals and continue to do more. Always start at the same point.


You can clean the transparent jello with a cloth with warm water.
When you finish your flower, pour over the white milk jello over the transparent jello.

Let it stand for 30 minutes in the fridge.

Eat as regular jello.
